YouTube user and engineer Hacksmith has created a home-made DIY exoskeleton that he has demonstrated lifting a mini Cooper car with ease.
Exoskeletons have already been developed for the military and industrial purposes to help employees lift larger loads than they would be capable of lifting without the exoskeleton. However these extra mechanical additions to the body carried a huge price tag unless you are willing to build your very own.
Check out the video below to see the Hacksmith DIY home-made exoskeleton in action, which is capable of lifting the 2,524 lb with ease.
The next project for Hacksmith is to be able to build the upper half of the exoskeleton to that can also be used for a variety of real-world applications. Although no dates have been announced as yet we will keep you up to date as soon as any more details are announced or videos uploaded to YouTube.
