If like me, you have wanted to build your very own electric skateboard but don’t have the skills to create a carbon fibre deck. You now have the ability to purchase your very own thanks to the development team at DMC based in Dusseldorf, Germany.
The carbon fibre DIY electric skateboard deck is now available to back and includes space for your desired battery and PCB board with two separate covers enabling you to create your very own longboard to your exact specifications.
DMC is the world’s leader in Lamborghini refinement. Our knowledge in carbon fiber and luxury has led us to develop the #Stingboard, a product of pure passion. Our CEO loves skating and developed the board so that he could take it on his many flights. The idea was to have a piece of art, that can house a battery inside, which can also be removed before boarding a plane.
The board has one internal compartment, which can be accessed from the top and the bottom. The idea is that the top cover lets you install and remove the battery while the bottom cover is an entry point for the PCB board. We did not develop this product for weight saving, if you know DMC then you know that our products are results of indulging luxury. And this is where Stingboard fits in. Bamboo would already be a light material, so even if we could save a few grams when compared, it would not make a huge difference when an 80 KG person stands on it. Therefore beauty comes before weight.
