If you were around back in the ’80s you might remember the DeLorean with its stainless steel body and gullwing doors. This car was also the star of the “Back to the Future” franchise so much that it seems every other DeLorean you see today is dressed up like the movie car. DeLorean went defunct not too long after the brand debuted, but the car is coming back.
DeLorean plans to start making the DMC-12 again with a run of brand new cars made using original parts. There is some mystery surrounding the new DMC-12. One of the big questions is just how much the car will cost. You can register your interest in buying one and get the first crack at ordering.
Rumors indicate that the new run of DMC-12 cars will sell for somewhere around $100,000 each. The plan is to built 300-350 units over the next six years. For the first year DeLorean plans to build a car each month. You can register interest using the form here. That form says pre-order, but since you aren’t giving up money it’s more of a reservation form.
