Deezer has unveiled its new applications today for both iOS and Android devices, together with developer Deezer affiliate programme, and API upgrades.
Deezer will soon be launching its new Deezer affiliate programme for developers using its Open API, that has been created to enable developers to include music into their applications and earn revenue.
How the Deezer Affiliate Programme Works
When using the newly created app, every time a person subscribes to Deezer via the app, the developer will receive a payment equivalent to a month’s Deezer subscription. This innovative approach not only incentivizes developers to integrate Deezer’s music streaming service into their applications but also provides a steady revenue stream for them. Deezer CEO Axel Dauchez explains more about the Deezer affiliate programme:
“Music streaming isn’t about giving people access to soulless databases of songs – we want to build an immersive and entertaining experience that gets people hooked on Deezer. Our affiliate scheme and API improvements will help developers seamlessly bring music into their greatest apps. We can’t wait to see what they’ll build.”
New Applications and API Upgrades
The new Deezer applications available from today include Moosify, which has been created for dating through a shared love for music, and Seevl providing new tools for music discovery. Moosify is particularly interesting as it combines the social aspect of dating with the universal appeal of music, allowing users to connect over their favorite tunes. This can lead to more meaningful connections as music often plays a significant role in people’s lives.
Seevl, on the other hand, enhances the music discovery experience by offering advanced tools that help users find new music based on their preferences. This can include recommendations based on listening history, genre exploration, and even connections between different artists and bands. Such tools are invaluable in an age where the sheer volume of available music can be overwhelming.
The API upgrades are designed to make it easier for developers to integrate Deezer’s vast music library into their own applications. This includes improved documentation, more robust support, and additional features that can be leveraged to create unique and engaging user experiences. For instance, developers can now access detailed metadata about songs, albums, and artists, which can be used to create rich, informative interfaces within their apps.
Moreover, the API improvements also focus on performance and reliability, ensuring that users have a seamless experience when streaming music through third-party applications. This is crucial for maintaining user satisfaction and encouraging long-term use of both Deezer and the integrated apps.
