Back in September, it was reported that the sequel to the popular puzzle game Cut The Rope 2 will hit the App Store in the holiday season. It seems the moment is upon us as Misha Lyalin, the CEO of Russian mobile developer ZeptoLab, announced Cut The Rope will launch on December 19th at a press event.
The physics-based puzzle game revolve around the adventures of the mascot Om Nom who’s on a journey to restore his collection of candies from a gang of spiders. The game is said to be difficult, but still accessible to children.
Cut The Rope 2 has five different worlds, each home to a new critter, some of them will help you get the candies while others will try to stop you from completing Om Nom’s adventure. There will be a forest critter known as Roto who can carry objects up and down the screen. In the Junkyard world, there’s Blue who can make multiple copies of himself, and Lick can make bridges with his tough in the Sandy Dam. In the Underworld stages, Boo will knock you off when it collides with you. Lastly, you will come across Toss in the City Park stages.
Many Android and Windows Phone users would be a little disappointed to hear that it will exclusively hit iOS for a promotional price of 99 cents, for a limited time.
