Guitarists searching for a portable, two-piece, collapsible guitar with “zero compromise on tone”, may be interested in a new solution by Philip Hart Guitars. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the handcrafted guitars which have this week launched via Kickstarter to raise the required $25,000 needed to take the instrument into production.
Early bird pledges are available from $1,500 or roughly £1,154 for the first run of Genesis guitars, their creator explains more about the inspiration behind the design. “I’ve been playing guitar since I was 14, and I realised at a young age I enjoyed customising my guitars just as much, if not more than I enjoyed playing with them. From there, my passion for guitars extended into building them. In 2016 my father and I were awarded a patent on a revolutionary new design allowing the guitar player to disassemble their custom PHG guitar in just a couple minutes. The guitar is extremely portable without losing any of the crucial characteristics to a great sounding guitar! We believe we found a way to make the guitars sound even better! “
“I have poured my heart and soul into this company! I have spent my savings to make it successful and now I’m ready to grow this business through the Kickstarter so that more people can experience these game-changing patented guitars!”.
