I have never liked the fact that most wireless plans round you up to the next minute no matter if you use 59 seconds or five seconds of the next minute. That seems like a rip off to me. Sprint and Walmart have unveiled a new prepaid wireless offering called Common Cents that changes that.
With Common Cents, the plan rounds you down. That means your call running 1 minute and 45 seconds will be charged as a single minute. That is a nice feature. The minutes on the plan are seven cents each and texts are the same price.
Refill cards are $20 for 30 days of service and 565 minutes of talk or $30 for 60 days of service or 848 minutes of talk. Devices for the network are basic and start at under $20. The new plan will launch on May 15 at Walmart stores and online.
