If you need to access a Windows desktop from your Chromebook, you might be pleased to know that Citrix has this week launched a new client application called Citrix Receiver on to the Chrome Web Store. That will allow you to access your applications and Windows desktop at your office, home, or on the road.
Citrix Receiver has been available for sometime on Windows, iOS, Mac and BlackBerry and has now arrived on Google’s Chrome OS, and comes along at the same time Google has released a new update to their Chrome OS that brings with it VPN and secure Wi-Fi support (802.1X) features.
Citrix Receiver for Chrome OS, is now available on the Chrome Web Store, and is a free client app for businesses and users that use Citrix virtualization to host desktops and applications in the data centre. But remember your company must have the correct Citrix Receiver for Chrome OS infrastructure in place before you can use Citrix Receiver for Chrome OS.
