The first season of the new Top Gear finished on Sunday and now the shows lead presenter Chris Evans has quit the show.
There were reports that Evans was not getting on with the other hosts of the show, in particular Matt LeBlanc who has been popular with Top Gear fans.
Fans of the show had been less than impressed with Chris Evans presenting style on the show, although to be fair to Evans, he did have some massive shoes to fill in this new show.
Stepping down from Top Gear. Gave it my best shot but sometimes that’s not enough. The team are beyond brilliant, I wish them all the best.

As yet there are no details on whether a new presenter will be brought in to replace Chris Evans in the next season, or whether the existing presenters will fill his role.
