Unfortunately the latest stage in the Gran Turismo Academy has had to be scrapped due to cheaters messing up the timings. So many people were caught cheating in the last round it was called off and totally lost with all entrants now moving into stage 3.
The cheating started when loop holes or rather short cuts were found by players by cutting corners of the track, providing a large advantage over players that stuck to the tarmac. Watch the video below to see an example of the loops.
When the loops were discovered by the events organisers Polyphony Digital, another track was chosen but the same happened here as well. Polyphony Digital is now busy creating a track that will remove these loops and provide a more realistic racing environment.
