Solo musicians looking for accompaniment may be interested in a new smart percussion robot called the Cabot, which is launched by Kickstarter this month to raise the required funds to go into production. The Cabot percussion robot can be controlled using its companion smartphone application and plays a cajon box drum for a “whole new jamming experience” say its creators.
Equipped with three physical arms the Cabot is capable of striking the cajon to send out natural, acoustic sound waves with bass thuds and snare cracks. “Make your sessions tight! Jamming with Cabot is easy. Your performance is jacked up a notch with pumping, natural rhythm. Attach it to a cajon and activate it by smartphone with our app. Your music is instantly elevated to a whole new realm as you jam together in perfect time with YOU directing the flow. A completely cool and fun jamming experience!”
Create your own rhythms with the smartphone apps or download beats created by other users. The application easily synchronises with other equipment via MIDI the team are already working on new updates for the app to make the Cabot percussion robot even smarter.
