The current BMW i8 is powered by a combination of an electric and petrol engines and now BMW has unveiled a new i8 prototype which is powered by Hydrogen fuel cells.
The new BMW i8 prototype features a carbon fibre body which has has a number of modifications to make the vehicle more aerodynamic.
The company has not revealed any details on the technical specifications on this new i8 prototype, there are also no details on what sort of performance it comes with.
BMW are using this prototype to test their hydrogen fuel cell technology and have plans to roll the technology out to vehicles by 2020.
