The design team at Sitoncloud has created a new Bluetooth speaker which incorporates old vinyl records as a vibration disc for improved acoustic sound. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Bluetooth speaker which is this week taken to Kickstarter and is now available to back with earlybird pledges available from €18 or roughly £72.
Innovative Design and Environmental Impact
The innovative design of this Bluetooth speaker not only provides a unique aesthetic but also addresses an important environmental issue. Vinyl records, which are primarily made of PVC, can take up to 600 years to decompose. By repurposing these records, Sitoncloud is helping to reduce waste and promote sustainability. This creative approach not only gives new life to old vinyl but also preserves the artistic value of the record covers, which often feature iconic and memorable designs.
The use of vinyl records as a vibration disc enhances the acoustic quality of the speaker. The natural properties of vinyl allow for a richer, more resonant sound, providing a superior listening experience compared to traditional materials. This combination of form and function makes the Sitoncloud Bluetooth speaker a standout product in the market.
Technology and Usability
With the advancement of information technology, Bluetooth speakers have become increasingly popular due to their convenience and high-fidelity sound. Sitoncloud’s Bluetooth speaker leverages this technology to offer a seamless and enjoyable music experience. The speaker is designed to be user-friendly, with easy connectivity to various devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
The Kickstarter campaign for this innovative product has garnered significant attention, with early bird pledges starting at €18 or roughly £72. If the campaign is successful, worldwide shipping is expected to commence around April 2019. This timeline allows backers to receive their speakers in a timely manner and start enjoying the benefits of this unique product.
Sitoncloud explains the inspiration behind the unique Bluetooth speaker and its design: “With the progress of the information technology nowadays, we found Bluetooth speaker is much more easier for playing music with high fidelity. Very soon this technology became the top choice for most of speaker producers. Millions of old Vinyl disc are out of use. Knowing that Vinyl is mainly made of PVC, it will take them 600 years to be totally dissolved by the nature, but also tremendous creativity for designing the cover are wasted in the storage room.”
This statement highlights the dual motivation behind the product: to leverage modern technology for superior sound quality and to address the environmental impact of discarded vinyl records. By combining these goals, Sitoncloud has created a product that is both innovative and eco-friendly.
