BlackBerry’s first Android smartphone, the BlackBerry Priv is now available in the US, the handset is being sold exclusively through AT&T and it available from today, the device is also available to pre-order unlocked from BlackBerry and it will ship from them next week.
AT&T are offering the new BlackBerry Priv on a new two year contract for $249.99 up front, the handset is also available in their AT&T Next monthly payment plan for $24.67 a month over 30 months.
The handset comes with a 5.4 inch curved display that has a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, the device also features a slide out QWERTY keyboard and it comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Processing is provided by a hexa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and it features 3GB of RAM, there is also 32GB of built in storage and a microSD card slot which takes up to 2TB cards.
There are also dual camera’s with a front facing 2 megapixel camera and an 18 megapixel rear camera with a Schneider-Kreuznach lens, the handset also comes with BlackBerry’s DTEK security software.
