
BioLite has this week unveiled a new addition to their range of portable campfire chargers with the unveiling of the new BioLite KettleCharge which has been designed to provide you with more charging power whilst away from the grid.
Building on the technology that BioLite used in this CampStove and BaseCamp wood-fire stove/chargers that allow you to recharge your mobile devices, cameras and tablets whilst making a brew.
BioLite has now created its KettleCharge to produce up to 10 W of power allowing you to chargeable devices even quicker than previously and is fitted with a digital display allowing you to see if the device is at the optimum temperature for maximum power production.
To use the KettleCharge recently leaked to fill it with water and slide it on top of any stove allowing you then to use the heat from the boiling water to create electricity via a integrated USB port at the base of the handle. Jonathan Cedar, BioLite Co-founder and CEO explains :
“Energy is all around us, and we just need the right tools to use it,”-“The KettleCharge is an easy way for people to harness energy on-demand using only heat and water.”
The BioLite KettleCharge is launching in September and will be available to purchase for $149. It weighs 2lbs or 0.9kg and measures 20 x 7.6 cm in size and can be used with any camping stove you may own.
