Any Bentley is already a very rare vehicle due to the price. Those who want to make their Bentley even rarer still can order up a glut of special custom touched by Mulliner. On the Bentayga SUV, one of the new options that Mulliner will add to the vehicle is the Mountain Marquetry veneer inlaid into the cars fascia.
The special art shows a representation of the Roque Bentayga on Gran Canaria, which is the mountain that inspired the Bentayga name. The manual labor that goes into making the artwork is impressive and there are different types of wood used to make the image.
In all, there are 32 layers of wood from six species of tree. The video gives us a glimpse at just what it takes to create the artwork. There is no indication of exactly how much this option might cost, but it’s a Bentley and it certainly won’t be cheap. The finished artwork is on the dash area of the passenger side of the car. The video makes the process look like something the artist is having to create the puzzle pieces for the puzzle as they put them together.
