The BBC is looking for testers for its BBC iPlayer app on mobile devices, the company has announced the launch of the BBC Mobile iPlayer Beta testing program.
The Mobile iPlayer Beta testing program is now available in Google Android platform and it will work with devices running Android 4.1 and above, the BBC also plans to bring it to Apple’s iOS platform in the future.
The Mobile iPlayer beta programme is your chance to try out new features in the mobile iPlayer app prior to full release. It’s also an opportunity to provide us with feedback to help us improve the iPlayer mobile app experience.
Please note, as these are early beta versions of the iPlayer app they may contain errors and may not function quite as well as the live application.
Who is eligible?Currently the beta programme is open to anyone with a Google Account and an Android device on the Jellybean Operating System (Android 4.1) and above. We’re looking to roll out our beta programme to Kindle and iOS devices as well – so watch this space!
