Basis the makers of the Basis Peak Fitness watch have today announced the rollout of new update to their wearable device that has brought with it the ability to now link to your iOS or Android smartphone.
The Basis Peak watch update now enabled users to view texts, calls, emails, calendar events and habit alerts from your smartphone directly on their wrist via a small vibration alert.
Other new features included in the latest Peak watch update also provide users with the ability to export their data to aid with customised analysis and comparisons. Exportable data includes minute-by-minute sensor data for heart rate, calories burned, steps, perspiration and skin temperature.
Data is available to download from the last 7- 30 days for the entire time since your last download or since you started an account, via the Basis Peak application. Basis explains :
“In the middle of a run or ride? An important meeting? A date? Or maybe, you just want a more convenient way to see messages and alerts. Smartwatch notifications let you see who’s reaching out, your calendar events and habit alerts without requiring you to reach for your phone.
– When you receive texts, calls or other notifications on your phone, you’ll be alerted with a vibration and see the notification on your Peak
– Peak will keep your notifications visible for five minutes so you have time to browse them before dismissing them.
– You can choose to get vibration alerts or switch it to Do Not Disturb mode. See our iOS or Android support sections for more details.”
