A team of Swedish designers and developers at Awake are currently in the process of finalising and launching a new electric surfboard called the RÄVIK. Capable of speeds up to 30 kn or 56 km/h the electric surfboard is capable of accelerating from 0 to 50 km in just four seconds.
The internal batteries take 80 minutes to charge and provide a run time of 40 minutes of mixed riding. Weighing 35 kg the surfboard may not be the lightest but with a carbon fibre body it has been designed with key principles in mind power, speed, and precision.
“Awake’s electric surfboard, the RÄVIK, is built for superior acceleration, sharp corners and fast straights, giving the user an unparalleled riding experience. Crafted from high-end composites, this electric surfboard challenges the user with aggressive power. The slim rear offers rapid response and high agility, while the streamlined body design is sculpted with acute attention to hydrodynamics. From nose to nozzle, the RÄVIK is a purpose-built speed machine.
Awake’s technology standard is cutting-edge engineering; focused on mechanical and electrical precision. The core purpose at Awake is to offer extreme mobility by use of high-end technology. Through user feedback, Awake products are a direct response to what the market desires, resulting in a patent-pending where it matters the most.”
