AVG has taken to the Indiegogo crowdfunding website to raise funds to the tune of $650,000 to create a new wireless router called the Chime, that has been created to bring enterprise wireless technology into the home environment.
The AVG Chime route has been specifically designed to remove dead zones, endless buffering which signals and pixelated TV imagery. Watch the video below to learn more about its features and functionality.
Chime is also the next generation of online threat protection platform for connected homes. Chime provides a new layer of security for your connected devices, especially those not protected by an anti-virus – like Webcams, Thermostats, Printers and your guests’ devices. Chime provides essential intrusion protection for your home. Mesh Wi-Fi is a technology pioneered for airports, malls and enterprises and one we believe will become the new standard for smart homes.
Chimes use Mesh Wi-Fi technology to communicate with each other so they share the work of providing a strong and reliable Wi-Fi across your home. So if a signal from one Chime becomes weak as you move in the house, another Chime will be able to provide a stronger signal to your device, without losing connectivity.
