Drivers looking for a little assistance when in their vehicle may be interested in a new digital co-driver which has been unveiled by German Autolabs and is equipped with its own artificial intelligence.
Currently at its prototype stage of development the digital in car assistant has been named Chris, and is always listening out for commands and to help you when required. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about Chris which is launched via Kickstarter this month and already raised over €60,000 thanks to over 375 backers.
Chris listens and talks to you, just like a friend. It’s the safest and most convenient way to stay connected while driving. All key information is visible on the color screen so you can put your smartphone safely out of reach. With Chris you don’t have to lift a finger to stay connected.
Chris is built with Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. What’s the big deal? Chris listens and talks to you. And the more you interact, the better it works. The best part though: Chris actively lets you know when new messages hit your inbox, or when traffic changes and much more. Connect the dots of your digital life while you drive.
Chris notifies you when you get a new Facebook message, WhatsApp, SMS or Email and then reads it out to you. You can reply or start a new conversation without touching your smartphone – you stay in contact and your hands stay on the wheel.
Chris features a unique, voice controlled hands-free system, so making and receiving calls in the car has never been easier. High quality microphones ensure the best possible audio quality too. With Chris, your address book is now comfortable to flick through. The number of contacts is unrestricted – just say the name or browse through your lists with a swipe of your hand.
