As well as announcing a new range of Asus Transformer 3, 2-in-1 laptops and tablets, ASUS has also unveiled their new ASUS ROG XG Station 2 external graphics-card dock.
That has been specifically designed to transform a laptop into a virtual reality “gaming powerhouse” says ASUS. Who have equipped the system with support for the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX and AMD Radeon graphics cards.
The system is also comes equipped with a 680W power supply, a Thunderbolt 3 port and an exclusive proprietary connector that improves performance up to a further 15 percent says Asus, who explain more.
ROG XG2 is an external graphics card docking station specially designed for ASUS laptops and is compatible with ASUS GeForce and Radeon graphics cards. It has a proprietary circuit design that lets notebooks harness the power of desktop graphics cards for a significant boost in visual performance..
This docking station also helps charge the laptop, so users can do away with the latter’s power adapter. It’s easy to hook up as well, and can be unplugged without restarting the laptop.
