ASUS may be way a lot popular in the tablet arena due to Google Nexus 7 but that’s not the only tablet the manufacturer has released. If you remember, ASUS announced Memo Pad HD7 back in June that is expected to hit the shelves this month. The device is available in the US for $149 but there was no exact release date for UK. It has been revealed that the device will be available in UK starting 1st September at a nominal price of £129.
The device features a 7 inch display boasting a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, quad-core MediaTek MTK 8125 processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB RAM. The tablet has dual camera with a 5MP back snapper and a 1.2MP front camera. On top of it, the device runs Android 4.2 Jelly bean that is considered as a necessary version for any new Android device. The device comes with 8GB/16GB storage onboard with a microSD card slot for those who want more storage.
ASUS already has a popular Nexus 7 tablet in the market which was released a few days back. If you are on a strict budget and want to buy a tablet, Memo Pad HD7 can be a decent alternative. When compared with Nexus 7, the device lacks in terms of RAM and a comparatively slower processor. However, that’s not a very big issue considering the price of the tablet.
