It looks like Asus may have some big plans for the US smartphone market in 2014. According to a recent report by All Things D, Asus have been talking to the major US carriers and building relationships with them and other retailers.
Asus is expecting to launch some new smartphones in the US in 2014, although as yet they have not revealed any details on particular devices, we suspect we will see a couple of new Android smartphones for the US.
Asus already sells its tablets and other devices in the US, which include the Asus Padfone, a combo device of a tablet and smartphone, and obviously the company is looking to smartphones as the next step.
It will be interesting to see what Asus has planned for the US market, we wonder if the company will use other platforms like Windows Phone as well as Google’s Android platform.
