It has been revealed this week that Asus is preparing to launch and add a new 13 inch Chromebook to its range in the form of the Asus C301 Chromebook, which is expected to be showcased during the Computex trade show in Taiwan next week.
The new Chromebook is powered by an Intel Celeron N3160 quad-core processor, supported by 4GB of RAM and includes 16GB of internal storage. The 13 inch HD display provides users with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and the Asus C301 Chromebook is expected to be priced at around $279.
This high price tag makes the C301 system the most expensive Chromebook Asus have created but is also the very first to feature 4GB of RAM combined with a full HD display. Other specifications include connectivity via both Bluetooth 4.2 and wireless communication via 802.11ac support.
Ports on the system include HDMI, 2 x USB 3.0 as well as a handy SD card reader to expand the internal storage if required, together with a HD camera and a 48 Whr battery. As soon as more details are announced by Asus regards availability and further specifications will keep you up-to-date as always.
