Following on from rumours last month Asus has this week announced the availability to pre-order their new Asus C201 Chromebook that is powered with a Rockchip RK3288 ARM Cortex-A17 quad-core processor.
The Rockchip ARM processor is supported by 2GB of RAM as well as being installed with 16GB of internal storage, and the system is equipped with an 11 inch display that offers a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
In the near future Asus is also hoping to offer a 4GB version of the system that is also weigh roughly 2.2 lbs and measure 0.7 inches in thickness. Other features of the Asus C201 Chromebook include a VGA camera for video conferencing together with an internal battery that is capable of powering system for up to 13 hours on a full charge.
The latest addition to the Asus Chromebook range will start shipping next month and is now available to preorder price at $169 for the 2 GB version directly from the Asus online store.
