Anyone in the market for a new amplifier might be interested in a new system that has been created by Totem Acoustic called Arc. The Arc amplifier has been constructed to provide high-end sound quality for all your music needs and is available from $250.
The Arc amplifier has been created to bridge the gap between high-end sound quality and the world of digital music and has been tailored to provide users with the perfect receiver and amplifier all encased in a compact unit.
Arc offers high-resolution USB audio streaming and high quality aptX Bluetooth audio and only requires that you connect a pair of speakers to the system. Its developers explain a little more about the inspiration design behind their new digital amplifier
Today most of the music we listen to is digital; it’s on our phones, our laptops or streamed from the web. But, being passionate about music, we felt a level of authenticity was missing from current generation digital units, which often offer poor sound quality, even to the point of losing the magic in the music.
Currently, high-quality sound systems require large receivers and multiple components. They are expensive, bulky and heavy, and often lack modern digital inputs like Bluetooth or USB.That is why we’ve created the ARC. The result is a small and easy-to-use digital power amplifier which connects to high-end speakers, thereby delivering awesome sound quality.
Being passionate about music, we know that there is no substitute for high-end quality when it comes to achieving a great listening experience and immersive sound. With the ARC, you can use most speakers available today. Accordingly, the ARC can provide the distinctive sound quality that was only achievable with large, high-end systems. As a fully-integrated amplifier system, amplification is provided by the latest in Class-D amplifier technology. It is designed using digital inputs: USB Audio 2.0 and Bluetooth aptX Audio. The USB audio connection delivers professional audio quality, with 24-bit resolution and sampling rates up to 192 kHz. The Bluetooth connection can provide a “CD-quality” connection via aptX.
