The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus comes with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance and according to a recent report, this years handsets will be even more water resistant.
According to a report from The Investor, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will feature an IP68 rating, this is the same rating that the Samsung Galaxy S7 has at the moment.
“Apple’s iPhone 8 will feature the IP68 rating protection as part of drastic upgrades marking the 10th anniversary of the iPhone this year,” an industry source told The Investor on condition of anonymity.
Were are expecting three new iPhones this year, a 4.7 inch iPhone 8 and two 5.5 inch iPhone 8 Plus devices, one with an LCD display and the other with an OLED display.
Apple is expected to give this years iPhones a complete redesign and both models are said to come with a glass back and a stainless steel frame. We are expecting to see the new iPhones some time in September, as soon as we get some more details on the handsets, we will let you guys know.
