Apple has revealed that it is working on a software update for iTunes which will fix the music deletion issues with the platform.
The issue came to light recently when some iTunes users discovered that their music was actually being deleted from the Mac and now Apple has released a statement relating to the issue.
Apple spoke to The Loop about the music deletion issue in iTunes, you can see what the company had to say below.
“In an extremely small number of cases users have reported that music files saved on their computer were removed without their permission,” Apple said. “We’re taking these reports seriously as we know how important music is to our customers and our teams are focused on identifying the cause. We have not been able to reproduce this issue, however, we’re releasing an update to iTunes early next week which includes additional safeguards. If a user experiences this issue they should contact AppleCare.”
As yet there are no details on when this software update will be released, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
