Apple are expected to have an initial production run of three million Apple Watch units available for the gadgets launch next month.
We had previously heard that the company was expected to produce around 3 million Apple Watch devices each month.
Now according to a recent report, Apple has apparently had to cut its production plans for the Apple Watch down from 3 million to around 1.2 or 1.5 million units per month.
The news apparently comes from Apple’s suppliers and the rumored reason that the production has been reduced is apparently due to manufacturing issues with the gadgets display.
LG are apparently producing the displays for the new Apple smartwatch and they are rumored to be having productions issues with the displays for the gadget.
If demand for the Apple Watch is high and this latest rumor about the company cutting production of the device in half is correct, then the demand for the gadget could outstrip supply for the first few months after it is released.
