Recently, the Cupertino giant updated its App Store application and are offering paid applications free of cost in order to boost the popularity of the app. The recent freebie offered in the application is Color Zen that is normally priced at $0.99 in the iTunes Store. Every week, Apple will give away media from iTunes, a new app or an iBook.
All a user needs to do is launch the application on his/her iOS device and go to the store tab. From there, go t
o the free content section and you will be asked to finalize your download. It’s a known fact that many users are not aware of Apple’s App Store application. Apple Store employees are also directed to install the application on a new purchase during the personal setup of the device.
Apple CEO Tim Cook, admits that a handful of people know about the application but he do wants use this application in order to boost the sales of iPhone. Buying the device from the application save the hassle of long lines and waiting at the retail stores.
So, by offering freebies, the company is just trying to attract more users to switch to the App Store application and make purchases through it. Although, the company do claim that 20 percent of the iPhone sales are made through the App Store.
