During its most recent earnings call yesterday Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed how many subscribers the company’s Apple Music streaming service has.
Apple Music now has over 13 million subscribers, these are all paying customers and this is up from 11 million subscribers back in March.
The company’s music streaming service is available for a monthly fee of $9.99 for a single user or for $14.99 for a family plan.
Apple launched their music streaming service in June of last year, so the company has done well by adding 13 million paying subscribers in under twelve months.
Spotify has around 30 million paying subscribers although their music streaming service has been around for considerably longer than Apple’s.
Apple already had a large customer base to launch its music streaming service to, it will be interesting to see how many subscribers they have at the end of another twelve months.
