There have been rumors in the past that Apple Maps would be getting public transit information and now a new job listing at Apple has confirmed this.
The job listing was spotted by the guys over at Apple Insider and Apple are looking for a developer to work on Apple Maps, the developer must have knowledge of public transit.
“As a member of the Routing team, you will work on one of the most anticipated features of Apple Maps,” the listing states. In requirements, the company directly asks for someone with “in-depth knowledge about public transit,” both as a rider and on a technical level.
Apple has been working to improve their Apple Maps service since it was launched, as yet there are no details on when this new feature will be added to the service.
