According to a recent report, Apple is in the process of another acquisition, this time the company is Primesense. Primesense is an Israeli semiconductor company who worked with Microsoft on the original Kinect sensor for the Xbox 360.
Primsense’s 3D scanning technology is currently used in more than 20 million devices around the world, and this includes sensors in smartphones and tablets.
Apple has reportedly offered around $280 million for Primesense, it is not clear on whether the two companies have come to some sort of agreement as yet.
