The Apple iWatch is expected to launch before the end of the year, and if Apple gets their new wearable gadget right, it could end up being their most popular device.
One thing which will determine whether the Apple iWatch is popular is how much it will retail for, and according to a recent report, Apple are expected to retail the iWatch for around $300, we suspect it will go on sale for $299.
Another thing that Apple will have to focus on to make the device popular is the design, if Apple wants everyone to wear an iWatch, then they will have to make the device fashionable, especially with their younger customers.
The iWatch is said to feature a circular design, and the device may come with some sort of curved OLED display, the company is expected to launch two versions of the Apple iWatch, one for men and one for women.
The mans version of the iWatch is said to come with a 1.7 inch display, the ladies version of the device is said to come with a 1.3 inch display.
One thing we know after WWDC, is that health and fitness tracking is something that Apple has big plans for, with the launch of Healthkit, and this is expected to be a major feature in the new iWatch.
It will be interesting to see what Apple comes up with on their new iWatch, if the company can manage to turn their iWatch into a device that everyone wants to wear and use, it could end up being a massive hit for the company.
They will have some competition though, as Motorola are also launching the new Moto 360 smartwatch, which runs Android Wear, and from what we have seen to date, this is the best looking smartwatch that has been announced so far.
There have been rumors over the last few days that the iWatch will launch in October, personally I think it may launch a little sooner than that, and we are expecting it to be made official with the iPhone 6 and iOS 8 in September.
