Apple News was announced at WWDC 2015 last week, the app was announced as a new News App that would bring you content from a wide range of publications, although now it would appear that Apple has bigger plans for their new news App.
Apple has posted a job listing for an ‘Editor, Apple News’, so it looks like Apple is hiring journalists for its new app, you can see an excerpt from the job listing below.
The Apple News team is looking for passionate, knowledgeable editors to help identify and deliver the best in breaking national, global, and local news. These editors will help News users find the best and most timely coverage of major news events, while also managing select categories based on their areas of professional expertise.
The role requires the ability to manage relationships with some of the world’s finest publishers, to work seamlessly with an international team, and to craft compelling email newsletters.
Apple previously announced partnerships with a range of high end publishers, they also said that content from small publishers like ourselves will be featured in the app. The Apple News app will launch with iOS 9 later in the year, Apple is expected to release their next version of iOS some time in September along with the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.Filed Under: Apple, Technology News, Top News
