Apple’s iBooks application for the iPad is now available as a free download from iTunes, although it is only available from the US store at the moment, the rest of us in the UK, Europe and the rest of the world will have to wait until the iPad launches in our countries.
The Application will on work with the iPad and not the iPhone and iPod Touch as we have just tested it and you cant sync it with your iPhone or iPod Touch.
The application comes with a free book, Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A Milne. You will be able to read a sample of any book from the iBooks store before you buy it. You will also be able to re-organize your books on the iPad by title, author or category.
You can also add your own books to iTunes using the ePub format, you will then be able to sync you books from iTunes with your iPad.
