Apple recently reported that sales of its iPhone were lower than expected, the company is now launching a new device in China, the Apple HomePod.
The Apple HomePod is launching in China and Hong Kong on the 18th of January and the device will retail for 2,799 yuan in China and HK$2,799 in Hong Kong.
Apple’s Siri on the HomePod now supports Mandarin in China and Cantonese in Hong Kong, these languages were added to the device last month.
“We’re excited to bring HomePod to our customers in mainland China and Hong Kong markets. We can’t wait for them to experience how great it sounds in their home, we think they are going to love it.” said Apple’s Phil Schiller.
It will be interesting to see if the new Apple HomePod will be popular in China and Hong Kong, the device goes on sale later this week.
