As well as the new iPhone 6, Apple will also be showing off iOS 8 at their press event later today, and a major focus of the new OS will be Apple Healthkit.
According to a recent report, the Mayo Clinic, will be at the event to demonstrate how a major health provider will be able to take advantage of Apple Healthkit.
When Apple showed off HealthKit at their WWDC back in June, one of the first partners they announced was the Mayo Clinic, and they will apparently be showing off Apple HealthKit integration at the event later today.
Apple HealthKit is expected to be available on both the iPhone 6 and also the new Apple iWatch, it is said to be able to monitor things like blood pressure, heart rate and more.
We are looking forward to finding out more details about HealthKit and also Apple’s plans for health and fitness, which is said to play a major part in Apple iOS 8, and also looking forward to seeing the final features in iOS 8.
As soon as we get some more details on exactly how Health Kit will work, and which devices the new app will be compatible with, we will let you guys know.
