Apple recently launched their new Passbook app in iOS 6, the app lets you store things like plane and concert tickets and also lets you make payments with compatible applications like Starbucks, and Apple are rumored to be taking Passbook payments in their retail stores in the future.
Apple filed for the Passbook trademark in the US back in June of this year, shortly after it was announced at WWDC 2012 and Apple has now been granted the trademark for ‘Passbook’ by the USPTO.
We are expecting Apple to add a number of new features to their Passbook app over the next 12 months, and some companies have already reported that the app is already becoming popular for things like tickets.
