Last week we heard rumors that the new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus smartphones would come with facial recognition for security and now according to a recent report, Apple has acquired RealFace a facial recognition company.
Real Face is a facial recognition company from Israel, it was setup in 2014 and it has developed facial recognition software that uses a smart biometric login.
The facial recognition software that the company has developed can be used an an alternative to fingerprints to login to a device, this is something that is rumored to come in this years iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.
As yet there are no details on how much Apple may have paid to acquire RealFace and there is no conformation from either company about the acquisition.
