Android Wear normally only works with Android smartphones although one developer has managed to get Google’s smartwatch OS working with Apple’s iPhone.
Developer MohammadAG posted a video of Android Wear working with an Apple iPhone and notifications from the iPhone are shown on the Android Wear device, in the video he used a Motorola Moto 360.
Apparently this can be done without the need to jailbreak the iPhone, it was done by using Apple’s Notification Center service APIs to get his Motorola Moto 360 working with his iPhone 6.
Noficiations for the Notification Center on Apple’s iPhone 6 and other iPhones can then be displayed on the Android Wear device.
