Amazon has launched a new version of its Kindle DX ebook reader, and it shares some of the specifications with the previous model, including the 9.7 inch display size. 4GB of built in storage and the Sprint 3G connection.
What has changed is the screen has changed with improved contrast ratios designed to make the display look better, plus the price has been dropped by quite a bit.
The new Kindle DX, as you can see from the photo is black, as opposed to featuring a white case like the previous model. The price has dropped for $489 down to $379.
