Amazon has announced that it is bringing its Alexa messaging and calls feature to tablets. The feature will be available on the iPad, Android tablets and also Amazons own Fire range of tablets.
The features will be easier to use on some devices, for example on the Fire 10 tablet calls and message can be made hands free.
“With your Fire HD 10, you’ll be able to place a call to Mum or send a quick voice message to a friend completely hands free by simply asking Alexa. Or, simply tap the Home button on your Fire 7, Fire HD 8, or any other Fire tablet that supports Alexa and ask Alexa to place a call or send a message. You can also enable Drop In for when you want to quickly connect with other Echo devices in your home.
Android and iOS customers will simply need to open the Alexa app and then they can easily place calls, send messages or drop in on Echo devices throughout their home.”
In order to use this new feature on your tablet you need to install the Amazon Alexa app on your device, you can find out more details about this at the link below.
