After announcing the launch of their new Allwinner A80 Octa processor back in September last year, Allwinner has this week taken the wraps off its new Allwinner A80 Optimus Board which is powered by a Octa-core processor.
The Allwinner A80 Optimus Board is equipped with 4 ARM Cortex-A15 processor cores supported by 4 ARM Cortex-A7 cores and includes USB ports, developer pins, and other features to help developers create their projects.
The processors on the Allwinner A80 Optimus Board have been arranged using ARM’s big.LITTLE technology so that owners can use just the cores they desire for their projects. Allowing the chip is optimised to offer high performance and low power consumption, depending on the application or project its being used for.
Allwinner is also planning to unveil tablets that are equipped with its existing A23, A31, and A31S processors together with its new Allwinner A80 Optimus Board at next weeks CES 2014 technology show in Las Vegas.
