Health wearables are getting better at collecting information, but making sense of that data still means opening an app, navigating dashboards, and interpreting individual metrics. At its October 21 launch in New York City, Alloop demonstrated a different approach with Trio, a modular wearable designed around a conversational AI health agent.

A Wearable Built Around an AI Agent
What should a personal AI agent look like in the future? The most interesting part of Alloop’s demonstration was how the wearable connects users directly to the company’s Personal AI Health Agent.
Through the Halo module, users can tap their wristband and speak to the Agent without taking out their phones. They might describe what they had for lunch, mention feeling unusually tired, or explain how a workout went.
Alloop records those details through its Easy Journal and combines them with physiological data from wearable sensors.
For example, a fitness tracker might show changes in sleep patterns or activity levels, but it doesn’t necessarily know that someone had a stressful day or changed their routine. Alloop’s Agent is designed to work with that additional context when interpreting personal health information.
The experience extends into the Alloop app, where users can interact with the Agent through voice, text, and photos. Instead of relying entirely on charts and numbers, the platform lets users ask questions and explore their health information conversationally.
One Wearable, Multiple Ways to Wear It
Trio’s hardware is unusual in its own right.
The system uses a single compact sensing core that can be transferred between a ring and wristband in seconds. Users can switch between the two based on their activity or preference while keeping the same sensing unit.
Halo adds another layer to the wristband configuration, providing additional battery capacity, light and vibration notifications, and direct voice interaction with the Agent.
It’s an interesting design decision because the modular hardware isn’t simply about offering different ways to wear a tracker. It also lets users access Alloop’s software throughout the day.
The hardware shown at the launch is still a pre-production version, so the final consumer experience may differ.
More Than Another Health Tracking App
Behind Trio is an open personal health platform that integrates data from multiple wearable devices and health services.
Through supported connections with Apple Health and Health Connect, Alloop can bring information from compatible devices into a single environment. The app can also work without Trio, making the Agent available to users who already have other health wearables.
Alongside Easy Journal, the software includes Bio Age, which assesses health-related patterns across six domains: sleep, activity, nutrition, cardiovascular, metabolic, and musculoskeletal health.

A Dashboard provides a more conventional view of health trends, while the Personal AI Health Agent serves as the conversational interface for exploring that information.
This distinction is central to Alloop’s approach. Trio is not intended to be the entire product ecosystem. It is a wearable extension of an AI platform, making it easier to capture personal observations and interact with health information in everyday life.
First Impressions and Availability
Alloop’s New York demonstration offered an early look at how a health wearable could function as a direct interface to an AI agent, rather than simply collecting data for an accompanying smartphone app.
The combination of modular sensing and voice-based journaling is promising, particularly for users who want more context around their health measurements without constantly managing another application.
The bigger test will be how reliably the Agent interprets different sources of health information, how useful its responses are over time, and whether the voice interaction remains convenient in everyday situations.
Alloop plans to introduce Trio through Kickstarter, with its crowdfunding campaign expected in November 2026. Final production hardware and real-world performance will need further testing once consumer units become available.
