Algiz has just launched their new rugged laptop, the Algiz XRW, which is equipped with a 10-inch 1366 x 768 daylight-viewable screen and some impressive performance specifications.
The rugged, compact Algiz XRW features a full keyboard and a powerful 2 GHz Intel Atom processor, a 64 GB solid-state disk, 2 GB of DDR2 RAM, and runs Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate.
Its keyboard and mouse-touchpad are illuminated by two LED lights, are fully sealed, and if you are wondering, the “XRW” stands for “eXtreme Road Warrior”.
Enhanced Durability and Usability
The Algiz XRW is designed to withstand harsh environments, making it ideal for professionals who work in challenging conditions. The laptop’s rugged design ensures it can handle drops, vibrations, and extreme temperatures. This makes it a perfect choice for field workers, military personnel, and outdoor enthusiasts who need reliable computing power on the go.
Other specifications include 2 x USB 2.0 sockets, inbuilt Bluetooth / WiFi, GPS, a 2-megapixel webcam, and an optional Gobi 2000 WWAN module. The internal battery can provide up to 8 hours on a single charge, ensuring that users can work for extended periods without needing to recharge.
Advanced Connectivity and Performance
The Algiz XRW offers advanced connectivity options to keep users connected wherever they are. The inbuilt Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities allow for seamless wireless communication, while the optional Gobi 2000 WWAN module provides mobile broadband connectivity, ensuring that users can access the internet even in remote locations.
The laptop’s 2 GHz Intel Atom processor and 2 GB of DDR2 RAM provide ample power for most computing tasks, from running complex applications to multitasking. The 64 GB solid-state disk offers fast data access speeds and improved reliability compared to traditional hard drives, making the Algiz XRW a robust and efficient computing solution.
Additionally, the Algiz XRW’s 10-inch daylight-viewable screen ensures that users can easily read and interact with the display, even in bright sunlight. This feature is particularly useful for outdoor work, where visibility can often be a challenge.
Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing at the moment, but the rugged Algiz XRW should be shipping near December.
