For more information on the new Aspire P3 tablet jump over to the Engadget website for details, and a hands-on video. After a hands-on experience, Engadget explained that the Aspire P3:
“The internals provided plenty of power to keep the P3 humming along at a brisk pace during our brief time with it, but we make no guarantees once you start loading up tons of poorly coded apps. The slate feels surprisingly solid in the hands, with no obvious give anywhere on the silvery chassis. Even near the exhaust vents there’s no flex.”
The Aspire P3’s performance is driven by its Intel Core i3 processor, which is capable of handling everyday tasks with ease. For users who require more power, an upgrade to an Intel Core i5 processor is available. The 4GB of RAM ensures smooth multitasking, allowing users to switch between applications without experiencing significant slowdowns. The 60GB SSD provides fast boot times and quick access to files, although users who require more storage may need to consider external storage solutions or cloud services.
The device’s solid build quality is another highlight, with Engadget noting the lack of flex even near the exhaust vents. This robust construction makes the Aspire P3 a reliable choice for users who need a durable device for on-the-go use.
In terms of software, the Aspire P3 runs on Windows 8, which offers a touch-friendly interface and a wide range of applications through the Windows Store. The operating system’s compatibility with traditional desktop applications also ensures that users can continue to use their favorite software without any issues.
The inclusion of a Bluetooth keyboard case further enhances the user experience, transforming the tablet into a more traditional laptop-like device when needed. This flexibility makes the Aspire P3 suitable for a variety of use cases, from casual browsing to more intensive productivity tasks.
Overall, the Acer Aspire P3 is a versatile and well-rounded device that offers a good balance of performance, portability, and functionality. Its competitive pricing and range of features make it an attractive option for users looking for a convertible ultrabook that can adapt to their needs.
