Back in September we talked about the 500th LaFerrari that Ferrari was building specifically to auction off with all proceeds going to benefit Italian earthquake victims. What we didn’t know at the time was when exactly that auction would take place. It turns out the auction is going down this weekend in the US.
The 500th LaFerrari will be auctioned off at the Ferrari Finali Mondiali weekend at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. To make this special LaFerrari even more special, it wears a one-of-a-king livery and interior designed as a tribute to Italy.
RM Sotheby’s will be holding the auction and telephone and absentee bidding will be allowed for those who can’t make the auction. This Laferrari has a white stripe running up the hood and around the sides of the windshield and a similar stripe on the rear with an Italian flag painted on the front, It looks fantastic. It also has a special plaque on the inside to commemorate the car’s purpose.
