Next Thing has this week announced that their new PocketCHIP will be shipping out to those that have already pre-ordered the handheld mini PC later this month and is now available to purchase priced at $49.
The PocketCHIP handheld PC comes equipped with a small 4.3 inch resistive touchscreen display that offers users a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels and is powered by a 1GHz Allwinner R8 processor supported by 512 MB of RAM together with 4 GB of internal storage.
Unlike other mini PCs available such as the Raspberry Pi priced at $35 the PocketCHIP comes complete with a QWERTY keyboard and screen allowing you to enjoy the mini PC straight from your pocket. Any orders placed this month are expected to start shipping during June.

The PocketCHIP handheld mini PC has been created following on from a successful Kickstarter campaign that helped the company take their C.H.I.P mini PC which was priced at just $9 into production.
